Strategy
Since the beginning of 2007, we have implemented our strategic reorientation consistently, and are developing AUGUSTA Technologie AG from a former holding company into an integrated technology group. Under the motto "Living the Change", we have parted with non-strategic and low-margin business segments and intensified our focus on long-term growth markets.
The four core elements of the AUGUSTA strategy:
Focus
Focus on attractive niche markets with long-term growth prospects, in particular in the area of Sensors and Microsystems Technology as well as in Vision Technology.
Growth
Ensuring of organic growth above the market average and above-average growth through acquisitions (buy-build-hold-grow).
Value
Value creation through market leadership in the core markets and profitability in all business divisions.
Transparency
Active and open communication with AUGUSTA stakeholders and presentation of performance using key performance indicators.
Market leader through a focus on niche markets
We concentrate on long-term growth markets. In particular, these are the attractive niches within the global growth markets of sensors and automation technology. We are focusing our available resources to become a leading technology group in the addressed markets. Focusing on essentials plays a decisive role in the Group's further development. The high fragmentation in the selected markets enables us to grow through acquisitions and the realization of our clearly defined buy-and-build strategy. In the two product areas Sensors and Microsystems Technology (SMST) and Vision Technology (VT) their prerequisites are particularly well met. Today we are already leaders in the addressed niche markets in both markets.
